Apple Q3 2009 Conference Call - 5.2 Million iPhones Sold - WHOA!

Apple announced their Q3, 2009 financial results today. The Company posted revenue of $8.34 billion, with 5.2 Million iPhone sales in the quarter. That makes an install base of 45 million plus iPhone OS devices, including iPod touch.

The iPhone and iPod are obviously doing really well obviously in sales. They also talked about sorting on Apps differently, and lowering MacBook prices. There's also a whole bunch more if you wanna read about it click here.

iPod Touch: I Can Haz Camera?

Is the next generation of iPod Touches getting a camera upgrade? But not only the camera but as well as a integrated microphone. Tech sites all across the web believe so. According to Wired.com:

A well-connected source tells us those rumors are on the money, and that Apple’s factories in China are already manufacturing iPod Touch models with integrated cameras and microphones. An Apple spokesman declined to comment when reached by phone.

This is really not suprising me as I could see the iPod touch getting this soon. Why? Well because when you think about it iPod touch owners are held off from purchases in Camera Apps, or applications such as Skype because users would have to buy yet another $30 Headset with mic. I'm sure Apple would like some more money coming in with iPod touch users now being able to purchase more apps.

What else could the microphone mean? Well the iPod touch could also be getting the Voice Control feature as well. This would not be a iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3rd gen only exclusive feature.

Last year the iPod touch 2nd gen came out around Sepetember, we can only wait and cross our fingers to see what Apple has planned for us.

A Russian developer, iWert, was able to use some x86 compatible emulator on the iPhone to get Windows 95 running on the Apple smartphone. A Windows XP version is forthcoming, yes you read that correctly XP coming to iPhone haha.

Rebelsim, I'm sure you heard about it. It's the company that sells SIM cards that you put in your iPhone and it unlocks your iPhone. I've never used this, cannot say if it's crap or actually works. When I bought my iPhone it had 2.2.1 on it so I was screwed. I used TurboSIM to unlock my phone and it worked perfect.

So why am I hating on RebelSim, sure they do what they say. My problem with them is that they sell the dev team software and make profit of it. Recently they started selling GeoHot's purplera1n iPhone 3GS jailbreak software. All jailbreaks though are free, most of the time through the dev-team.

RebelSim charges about $20-$40 for the software. People buy it of course because they thing well if I'm paying for it then it must work right? People need to learn how to use Google and YouTube. Google can help you find info and when that info is found, YouTube it for visual. YouTube is the video google in my opinion.

I don't like the people that make profit off of others hard work. Dev-Team to be exact, they put hardwork and people did donate some money for a new iPhone 3GS for planetbeing, but they worked hard and deserved it. That's why I have my little problem with RebelSim.

Internet Tethering with T-Mobile USA Edge Network [UPDATED]

Well I'm in California today (July 3rd) San Diego, to be exact. 4th of July weekend and with the family. Well I have EDGE service on my iPhone. So how am I doing this blogpost? Well sure there's an app for that! ? No not really, blog posting from the iPhone isn't really my thing.

So how am I. I'm tethering my iPhone's EDGE service to my computer. It's really simple, I am not even joking. The best Part too? It doesn't even require you to Jailbreak your iPhone!!! I have my phone jailbroken but only for ultrasn0w, I try not to run so many JB apps as I like my battery life not to be used by apps in the background.

This tutorial is simple and does work with AT&T 3G service as well. Now for you AT&T people, try not to do so much, if you use it to send some emails, check facebook then your good. But don't go using it to download music, or videos or something. Why? Well because If AT&T sees some heavy 3G usage on your account, well I don't know what the consequences are but I'm sure they may suspend your account or something.

Tethering At the moment is not allowed for AT&T service, BOO! Now with T-Mobile I don't think there should be any consequences because window phones have Internet sharing apps on there as well, so no problem there

If you follow this tutorial and follow it right you should be tethering in no time.

1. Open safari on your phone and go to "help.benm.at"
2. Scroll down to the first "mobileconfigs" and click on it.
3. Select your country
4. Select Carrier (if your doing T-Mobile, do U.S.A > T-Mobile.
5. It will then take you to your settings and on the top right hit install.
6. Reboot your phone
7. Go back into safari and go to the second "mobileconfigs" and enter in your internet settings (for t-mobile it should be either wap.voicestream.com or internet2.voicestream.com depending on your internet plan)
8. Hit Install
9. Go into Settings>General>Network>Internet Tethering and Turn it on
10. Use USB mode (most common)
11. If your on Vista it should automatically install and set up on your PC and should take 2 minutes at the max!

Another Warning To ultrasn0w users

When the official 3.1 beta comes up make sure you do not upgrade to it, you will lose your unlock and possibly lose it forever. Apple is closing the loophole that the dev found to make the unlock. The dev-team will release tools that will allow you to safely unlock to make sure your device stays unlocked and jailbroken

We all saw last week's terrible news and as we lost the King Of Pop. Very sad story, I couldn't believe it myself. YouTube spotlight was on MJ, as well as all the trending topics on twitter, 80% of them were about MJ. R.I.P Michael Jackson, you'll be missed.

Now if you were a big fan, and have a jailbroken iPod/iPhone. Here's a nice theme I found in Cydia for all of you.

To find it easily just search in Cydia, Michael Jackson and should be the first theme that comes up, just to make sure it's the right one, use this screenshot to match it up

New Features in Firmware 3.1 ultrasn0w users DO NOT upgrade

If you are a ultrasn0w user and before you get excited please note that you should not upgrade. Why? 3.1 already comes with ways to stop ultrasn0w just as @musclenerd said it would.

So if your planning on buying a 3GS, do it NOW. 3.1 is sure to fix the holes that the dev-team broke through to unlock the iPhone "3G".

So what comes in the new firmware? The following:
- Video editing now gives you the option to trim your clip then “Save as copy…” rather then writing over and replacing the original clip.
- Voice Control now works over Bluetooth
- The iPhone now vibrates when moving icons
- Updated AT&T profile to 4.2
- Updated modem firmware to 5.08.01 (*this is what will kill ultrasn0w)
- Improvements to OpenGL and Quartz.
- APIs to allow third party apps to access videos and edit them. New tools for the developers
- MMS buttons are back in the Messages app for AT&T customers but still don’t work. I wonder when later this summer is going to be?
- Copy & Paste functions also work in the address book as well as in the numeric keypad of the phone application. Nice little improvement, it did work when you would go into the contact and hit edit to get the number now allows you to highlight the number and copy will come up
- Videos can be saved from e-mail attachments and stored in your photo album.
- Find My iPhone feature, still only for MobileMe users, the audio alert Blasts at full volume regardless of what the ringer volume is set to.
- Does not fix the pitch noise for iPhone 3GS users that were experiencing this problem.

I guess with all these features, that is why it's 3.1, instead of 3.0.1 which probably would've just been made to kill Ultra, as I'm sure is Apple's main concern rather than getting MMS out to it's customers.

The First iPhone 3GS Jailbroken!

I'm sure you all remember George Hotz, aka GeoHot, the one who first unlocked the iPhone(the original one). Well he did it again by unlocking the iPhone 3GS.

Now he did however use redsn0ws code and only changed around 10 lines of it. But still he has created the first jailbreak. So why isn't it released yet? Well I don't want to break anyones heart, but the dev-team is holding off on that. Here the blog post to see for yourself.

So GeoHot has the luxury of having the only jailbroken phone unless planetbeing does too as he just got a nice new 3GS as well, courtesy of all the followers.

iPhone 3GS Takes a Dive in the Pool

The video below shows a guy at the pool recording and loving his new 3GS, when apparently his iPhone 3GS drops in the pool for a little swim. Look what happens

...It still works! I believe all he had was a rubber case, but still nothing had happened to it. As of yesterday 6-28-09 the phone is still in 100% working condition. His warranty is now in-effective but oh well. It might hurt him down the road like this guy who put his iPhone under running tap water.

But please don't go and try this with your lovely 3GS, I'm sure it was just a coincidence. One that should never be done to a iPhone (haha im only joking)

Sony to Take on iPhone

There's been many many rumors about a PSP phone in the works. Nothing ever has happened though. Well they've popped up again and the reason for this like last time, was to take on the iPhone. Of course Sony being the makers of the PSP and Playstation, why shouldn't they at least try right? If it actually does happen, what do you think will happen? Carrier? Specs? Screen? I'm kinda curious about this one.

Palm Mojo SDK Leaked Out To Web

Nice one Palm, obviously they haven't caught up to the idea of people leaking stuff to the internet. Apple uses smarter "ways" to have an SDK one that doesn't leak out.

How did this happen? Palm doubled the number of people who were originally going to try out the SDK and someone leaked it onto the internet. @keithah tweeted about it and it spread from there. For now it's only the windows version.

Palm took for frickin ever anyway, so it's nice they did this. I'm not posting the link but if you know how to use google you'll be good :).

White iPhone 3GS Turn Brown With Overheating?

So besides the white iPhone "3G" cracking issues on it's housing. There seems to be another issue now, and that is as you can see above a 3GS, with brown on it.

The case with this one is that when the iPhone overheats with the white one apparently over a week of time, Today (Friday) being the one week launch of the iPhone "3GS". Only been one case and apparently it's already been sent in for analysis and could/SHOULD get a replacement phone

If you look on the pictures you can see where the battery outline on the phone, should've went with black buddy! :)

Battery Increase with 3.0 Update?

So I'm sure most of you guys have upgraded to 3.0, if you haven't then why not? It comes with a lot of amazing features that should've been here since about 2.0. I'm cutting you some slack Apple! Well my question to you guys in this post is has anyone noticed some improvement in battery life? I'm sure for the 3GS it must be some phone. Apple added speed and yet better battery life? Simply amazing, that's why I love apple.

But since upgrading to 3.0 all I've done is jailbroken so that I could use ultrasn0w. And also the battery hack that shows me the percentage of the battery left. Something that should've came with the 3G upgrade not just something for the 3GS, I dont get it either. So if you have a quick second leave some comment letting me know if your one of the people like me who has some increase in battery.

If anything I've noticed about a good half a day increase in my battery.

iPhone 3G S Jailbreak IS Possible

Well I'm sure most of you already love the 3GS and all it's lovely 5 new features, but if you were a preview iPhone 3G owner or iPhone 2G and you were part of the Jailbroken community. You miss Cydia right?

Well all the prayers are answered. GeoHot, the first person to ever create a iPhone unlock, has done some snooping around and has found that the iPhone 3GS is vulnerable to a jailbreak through the same 24kpwn exploit present in the iPod Touch 2G. What does this mean? I'll let him explain, this is from his blog:

With the help of chronic, posixninja, and pod2g, I verified that it is still vulnerable to the 24kpwn exploit present in the iPod Touch 2G. This is great news for all of you. Basically, this means if someone makes a tethered jailbreak, it easily becomes untethered, because the boot chain is broken. Expect big things soon

Good news for you owners and it only took about a week as well :). Maybe next time Apple

Getting MMS to work on T-Mobile with 3.0 Firmware

With 3.0 obviously came a long awaited feature: MMS!! So now that ultrasn0w is out, and your using T-Mobile or another Carrier that supports MMS, you can now edit the celluar MMS settings.

To get here go Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network then you will see MMS. If your on T-Mobile USA then I have the settings for you here:

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size:
MMS UA Prof URL:

Exactly like they are and you will be able to MMS, unlike AT&T lol, Oh well they still got 3G we don't :(

Downloading .IPSW Files With Safari 4

The great people over at MMi have made a nice little 15 second tutorial over on their site about download .IPSW files on Safari on Macs. It seriously takes like 15 seconds.

.IPSW being the file type for the firmwares. If you've jailbroken your phone or are thinking about it. Then your going to deal with these files. Safari automatically extracts it which is why the .ipsw could not be working. Follow this tutorial on their site and you'll be set. 15 secs goes a long way when dealing with problems like this.

BTW Safari might not do the auto-extract thing again but it might name it ".ipsw.zip" just rename it and take of ".zip" and you'll be good!

So How Are The New iPhone 3G S owners loving their phones?

So I wanna know how many people are loving the new phone. Was it worth the upgrade? are you unhappy? is it what you expected? what you didnt expect? I'm curious to know. You can either comment here or send me a Tweet @iRockIsh.

I didnt get one for two reasons. 1 I'm not on AT&T, I'm one of the ones who have to wait till the dev team unlocks the phone like 6 months after it comes out.
2. i dont have the 600-700 dollars for it

I do want it badly, but it's alot. Next year when my contracts up I think I'm gonna make the switch!

Some interesting iPhone 3G S Performance Results

above is just one of the performance results showing how fast the page loaded up and rendered. The contestants were most of the big smartphones in the market such as the iPhone 3G, the Palm Pre, and the T-Mobile G1

above now is the application launch times, all of these apps are on all of these phones, of course you can see how the iPhone 3G S (Of course), comes in first place without a doubt.

The new 3GS renders web pages 128% faster, on average, than the old iPhone 3G. The 45% clock speed boost alone isn't enough to generate such a large performance increase, this is a new microarchitecture. Also, note that the 3GS' performance mimics that of the Palm Pre - another Cortex A8 based phone.

Such nice results, Pre and G1 didnt stand a chance, especially its little iPhone 3G brother.

AT&T: No Extra Charge for iPhone MMS

So a big question i'd say ever since WWDC regarding AT&T and the 3.0 update was is there going to be an extra charge for MMS. AT&T always finds a way but not in this case. If you currently have the text messaging bundle plan for your iPhone. There will be no extra charge for sending Picture Messages. Now though. MMS is not coming until later this summer as we all know by now. But I guess now the question should be when are we going to get this lovely-should've-been-here-a-long-time-ago feature?

iPhone 3G S Shortage Already?!! Due to High Demand

The above image is from BGR, and one of their ninjas are reporting that there's a shortage in AT&T's supply for 3G S's!!! OH NOEZ!

Basically if you pre-ordered on Saturday 13th, 2009 and later should know that there iPhone won't be in stock till about 7-14 days after the date it was ordered. Though if you managed to be smart and pre-ordered the 3G S, your phone will still be arrived in time for the 7 A.M. opening on Friday June 19th 2009. The customers will also get an email noification when there phone is available for pick-up.

The document also says that pre-ordering is still the best option as well for a getting a 3G S, as quickly as possible.

We all know by now that the iPhone is going to be faster than both the iPhone 3G and 1st gen iPhone but now the specs have been revealed that the iPhone 3G S will have 600 MHz processor bumped up from a 400 MHz like the iPhone 3G has. The RAM has also been bumped up as well from 128MB to 256MB. This is how the brand new iPhone is faster than the 3G! would be nice if we could replace the pieces in the iPhone 3G with these right?

10 New Things Coming in iPhone 3G S that you might or might not know

"So what's new with this iPhone? It looks completely the same as my 3G?" Well thats what I'm here to talk about. The iPhone 3G S, although it looks completely like a 3G is going to have features, that Apple is too greedy about to give to us current 3G owners.

1. It's way faster
The big thing about this iPhone is Speed. Everything on this phone from opening an app to surfing the web is 2x faster than it is on the 3G. Now this is pretty good, I've seen on Apple.com's guided tour, the little walkthrough they had. It does seem quicker and faster. But network wise, not too many places will have the 7.2 speeds that the iPhone is capable of, but we'll see how AT&T will pull it off, since they started upgrading their network back in april [BGR]. Either way the faster iPhone makes me wanna upgrade and go to AT&T, (im currently on T-Mobile with a 3G]

2. Improved Camera
Although the iPhone's camera was the best 2.0 camera I've ever used, it was great. But with all the other Smartphone's coming out with 3.2 megapixel camera's like the Pre, and Storm, I think it was about time they upgraded it and with some great features. Touch to Focus, auto-macro, auto-contrast, auto-EVERYTHING!. It's much better than the 2.0 camera obviously and takes some pretty amazing features as well.

3. Video Recording
MAN! was this long overdue. Video finally coming to the iPhone officially. It was available through Cydia, but obviously required Jailbreaking. It even comes with video-editing tools as well. Right after your done recording, you get to crop it right there and share it through YouTube, MMS, Email and MobileMe. Cool right?

4. More GB Memory
While we guess right on this one huh? Every site with rumors about the next-gen iPhone had said that it was 16GB and 32GB. The best part of it is that the 16GB took the $199 price just like the ol' 8GB which got dropped down to $99. Apple's awesome in pricing!

5. You can talk to it
The iPhone 3G S has voice control, not a new innovated feature but one that Apple was lacking! Now I find this feature to be really useful but I don't get why Apple is being dumb and keeping this from the 3G? I don't know if it's a hardware issue, but Apple also said the 1st gen iPhone isnt capable of receiving MMS's when it is fully capable. MacLife went on to find the truth and this was the response they had received:

We decided to get to the root of the problem by calling up the makers of the chip–Infineon. We contacted an Infineon representative in Milpitas, CA to uncover the details. The gentleman that answered the phone kindly explained that there is no way the Infineon chip inside the original iPhone is incapable of receiving MMS since that function relies on software rather than hardware.

I guess apple was dumb enough and now left swirlyMMS in business, since they charge about 12.00, which is still dumb because 3G owners are getting it for free, but still Apple was foolish enough to say that it wasn't capable. The damn hardware was like way ahead of it's time, they said it themselves as well. Steve's on crack!

6. Internet Tethering
Now before you AT&T owners get excited, you will not be getting this feature. AT&T again not supporting it just like MMS until later this summer. I say August. But other carriers like Optus will be supporting it from day 1! At least someone's ready right?

Internet tethering of course allowing you to share the cell data connection with your laptop or desktop or mac of course through USB or Bluetooth. I'm sure there(AT&T) thinking of a way to nickel and dime you for it.

7. Built-in Compass
Seems like a silly feature although can be useful, for example the Compass app can now adjust google maps to point in the direction of which you are that way you get better location directions

Us 3G owners will still be graced by the presence of TomTom coming to the iPhone for turn-by-turn directions.

8. The New Accessibility features
These brand new features will be located in settings, and will help people with Disabilities. These new features include VoiceOver, tapping on text or certain part of the screen and the iPhone will read it to you (awww) as well as a zoom function that magnifies up to five times, and a white on black display option that provides increased contrast.

9. Nike+iPod
The iPhone 3G S will be compatible with the system, which displays real time walking or running statistics. Currently the iPod Touch 2G with this feature is now coming to the iPhone. It was bound to happen guys.

10. New headphones
The iPhone is also taking another thing from another iPod, the brand new Nano with the remote on the headphones, is coming to the iPhone as well. The standard microphone piece will be there as well to handle all your lovely phone calls

The people over at iTalkiPhone.com have gotten their hands first on the iPhone 3G S, apparently from the pictures there is a Gold Trim on the side, 3G S gets gold while the 3G will still get silver. since the both are the same I guess that's how they will be distinguished. Not a lot going on, I'm sure the you will be getting the same stuff you've been getting in the previous iPhones, headphones, charger, all that jazz.

As you all know the Dev-Team is the creator of yellowsn0w the iPhone soft-unlock hack that provides you to use your iPhone on any carrier you wish, here in the U.S. T-Mobile :). Well with WWDC tomorrow, there are more and more fakes/spammers/idiotic people who have no time on their hands and make blogs pretending to have "special info" from the dev-team that they haven't already said. The Dev-Team says this:

"Unfortunately, there are predators out there that are counting on your over-exuberance. Maybe we should call it yell0w fever. One very recent example is a certain yellowsn0w221 page on wordpress.com. Do not download anything from that page if you’re on a PC, else you’ll be infected with a virus. The page talks and talks about a supposed Firmware 2.2.1 yellowsn0w exploit, but it’s all a ruse to get you to download and infect your PC."

Basically what there saying is, anyone to have a special, unreleased version of the New yellowsn0w for 3.0 and such is lying. Any other news referring to the dev-team is fake as well unless they have posted it themselves on the blog.

Certain sites as well make you download stuff and gives your PC a virus. Make sure that YOU DON'T download anything from those sites, if your not sure about it, dont download it!

Apple's App Store Software getting more Pricey with 3.0

If you watched the Keynote earlier this year, I'm sure you remember hearing about all the lovely features of 3.0 right? The copy and paste, the MMS finally after 2 years, all the new API's for the developers in the SDK. Well with every good thing, comes something bad.

More money! With the new SDK, developers are allowed to add in more prices to their apps. For example with games they could charge you another 5 dollars for 10 more levels on a OTA type thing. No more "FREE" updates unless currently I don't know if there's any kind developer's out there (LOL), but my guess is no. To me it's dumb because I saw in the SIMS 3 demo, the person showing the SIM walking around the house and such, walking outside. But when he had to go to his living room he had bought a stereo for a dollar, a REAL dollar. Yup, if you buy the SIMS 3 for already the normal-expensive 10 bucks you get to be able to contribute more and more to them. Which is already a 10 dollar app could turn into 40 bucks, depending on what you do or "buy"

I know that I had seen the ESPN demo with a dialog box asking for 6 or so more months of subscriptions for about another 10 bucks or 5? This gives developers the chance to put a price on everything. Army based apps for example, $0.99 for a bazooka, $0.99 for a upgrade on a Hummer. Things like that, I don't really like, and I think it could turn out bad for the App Store as well too. I don't think that too many of the app store consumers are going to be happy about this.

With WWDC right around the corner we'll finally be able to see what's up apple's sleeve.

New iPhone to be launch on monday after WWDC?!

Sites around the internet are buzzing around saying that not only would us iPhone owners not only get the new 3.0 firmware upgrade at WWDC, but also the New iPhone (insert name here) to launch after WWDC? It's unlikely for me seeing as how Apple always and for the past two years has introduced the product then released it. The first gen iPhone being announced in January, and being available late June. As well as the iPhone 3G being announced at last years WWDC and being available in July. Apple always does suprise us though, and with Palm's Pre to launch today (June 6th 2009) Apple could possibly be wanting to have some competition. But let's face it, I doubt the Pre will do better than the iPhone for sure.

Need to Know a Good Tap Tap App To Buy?

Are you a fan of Tapulous? Love their apps, especially Tap Tap Revenge 1 and 2? While Number 2 is clearly the best one, being that it’s free and all the free downloadable tracks with the themes for it, makes it one of the best Free Apps on the app store, especially for games. Well maybe you want more Tap Tap right? Well if you obviously a fan of Coldplay then obviously Tap Tap Coldplay is right for you.

This is probably my most favorite artist release Tap Tap that Tapulous has put out. I love it, Tapulous has picked out 13 of probably the most played/liked Coldplay songs ever. The song list includes:

- Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun Mix)
- Lost
- In My Place
- Fix You
- Life in Technicolor ii
- Clocks
- Yellow
- Shiver
- Speed of Sound
- Viva la Vida
- Viva la Vida (Thin White Duke Remix)

Now not all come in easy, medium, hard and extreme, most songs like clocks or shiver are in the Easy-Extreme Modes. But trust me its pretty worth it. When this was released it was 5 dollars just like the other band Tapulous apps, but now it’s only 4, which is a deal. I support Tapulous because I love their apps, although they kinda price them at ehh prices 4 dollars and they would be selling like hotcakes.

Tap Tap Coldplay offers new themes obviously that always comes with the new band Tap Taps. Look in the screenshots, there rectangular white glowing buttons now. With pictures of members from the bands. The special song at the end of each level as well has a theme to go with it.

I have yet to get a 100% on a Tap Tap Coldplay song, and no I haven’t tried Easy! Lol im not taking the easy route. I’ve tried on medium and up. But if you get a 100% on one send me a screen shot ill in you in my post, thanks :) .

Well that pretty much wraps it up, If you love guitar hero, or rockband, or any Tap Tap apps, Coldplay’s a good one for you. I mean who doesn’t love coldplay? I give it a 4.9 out of 5, the price got me lol.

Twitter App Fight! - Twitterrific Premium, Tweetie, and TwitterFon Pro

Having A Problem deciding which Twitter client to buy for you iPhone? Don’t wanna spend the $3.99 for Twitterrific and not like it? Or maybe $2.99 for Tweetie? Or $4.99 for TwitterFon Pro? Well leace your worries to me, Below will be a handful of screenshots, showing you every single page from all three twitter clients. I’ll also let you know which one I think is the best and the one you should buy.

I just got into Twitter recently, back in April or so. My first one was TwitterFon, the baby version of TwitterFon Pro, LOL yes the Free one. But then I kinda wanted something better. Something that was even better than the regular web version of twitter. Something that offered a lot at once in one app. I’ve heard a lot from each of these apps, stuff like Tweetie is the best, or Twitterrific is better, but not too much from TwitterFon Pro, sorry LOL.

Lets start off with Twitterrific Premium. This is currently my twitter client that I use all around. Why? It offers a lot more than the other two IMO.

Why I Like Twitterrific:
I like twitterrific because it has like a really nice graphic UI, it’s so nice that it comes with 3! Yup, themes like Raven, Snowy, and if your really boring – Basic. Raven and Snowy are obviously the best, my favorite though is Raven. It also lets you adjust the font size in the top right hand corner where you see the tweets you’ll see an icon that looks like this: “aA” I like medium, because small only allows texts, but more tweets in the screen, medium offers the picture and the tweets with a good amount of tweets and large is if your far-sighted and can’t see close, there HUGE!

Nice little things in the app:
When you click on a tweet, for example in the screenshot I used @charlestrippy , he’s cool LOL. You then get the rest of the icons on the bottom like the “*” and the “reply” to reply to the tweet you selected. Then when you hit the other button that looks like a signal bar the very last button, you then get options such as going to the author’s profile, tweets sent to the author, retweet the tweet LOL, links, favorite it, mark it for future reference and email the link to anyone in your contacts.

The other nice thing is that it has a little tab to take you to your own mentions, replies, messages, marked tweets and such. Unlike tweetie and twitterfon which has them straight on the menu, this gives you a tab for the tabs :).

When posting a tweet its nice because lets say you want to manually retweet something, or want to look at another tweet for reference it does just that, by hitting the eyeball next to the character limit. It lets you scroll through the tweets that are already there. This could be helpful when giving information.

In the Tweet menu, it gives you three icons above the tweet area. Icons for shortening the url, which you can set in the settings pane. And a camera icon when you want to post a picture with your tweet. Then it has the location symbol to find your location and where your at.

The settings are a little hard to get to but you get to them by hitting, the back button called sources, then from there you’ll see settings, and the public timeline and the trending topics for the day/week. In settings your also allowed to change the bird sound that happens when you get new tweets, by default its Classic Bluebird. You can change your theme, prefer whether you want screen names or the real names, for example with me, Luis or iRockIsh? Get it? You can also set the photo quality when you send a picture to be uploaded with your image provider.

Now Onto Tweetie & TwitterFon:

Both of these applications are pretty much the same in every way. I took screenshots and you’ll probably say “WTF? You took the same ones” No that’s just how similar these applications are too each other.

Main Screen:
When you first open tweetie of course you have to log in to your account then it takes you to the main screen. On both you get pretty much the same tabs for example Tweets, Mentions, Messages, Favs, and more which contain very little settings. The main settings tab is in your main Settings app on the homescreen.

When you click on a tweet, in tweetie, you get a separate page for the tweet, which is a little time consuming, unlike twitterrific which just keeps you on the same page and such, but anyway on that page you get a forward icon which allows you to reply to the author or retweet the tweet. You also get to see any links with the next icon, and favorite it as well, there is also a reply, to reply to the author

In messages you get the little boxes to switch between you inbox and sent messages. Pretty simple, in more you get to see your profile, go to a specific user, see whose nearby your location, the trends for the day and search for tweets containing certain words, its nice and simple and your still allowed to post a tweet from any tab. TwitterFon does this too except the only difference between the two apps, is the color of the top of the tabs, and the certain settings they allow.

The nice thing about TwitterFon is it gives you a landscape keyboard just like what’s coming in the iPhone 3.0 software! You also get to shake to reload, you just shake your device and they refresh the tweets in the tweet page.

The thing I like about tweetie is that its simple, I obviously love simple apps that do what they say they do and I think that tweetie does just that. It gives you a nice interface to post tweets and something that doesn’t take too long to load

Twitterrific is still my best choice, its only 4 bucks and definetly worth it. It gives you some nice graphic UI for your money. I like it because to me it still gives a lot of features and for only a buck more its like tweetie but with extra features and the themes choice. Kind of the difference between an iPhone, and Jailbroken iPhone ya know?

Althought Tweetie is number 1 in App Store for Twitter Client, my Winner for this little Battle would have to be TWITTERRIFIC

Every taken a picture and like it but it was in a wrong rotation? Maybe your iPhone's acceleromter accidentally rotated it by mistake putting it in landscape mode?

Well with this app you can fix that, it's free has no Ads, at least so far for me. You tap on the app and it automatically opens up your photo album, you then take the photo and tell it to rotate it left or right. Then you hit save. The good thing about this app is it does not replace the photos all it does it just make another copy, then if you want you can then delete the original, but this is good in case you end up do wanting the original photo.

My Conclusion:
I got it because one it was free and its really really simple and does what it says no ifs, ands, or buts. You open the photo, rotate it, then click save it's seriously that simple. Good for the people that are into photography and such, especially if you have a lot of pictures.

Stock Camera vs Pro Camera - FIGHT!

Do you go browsing through the App Store in the Photography section? Sometimes looking at the camera apps and probably don't want them, why? because why are you gonna spend like 3 bucks on something you already have. Well I got this app, called Pro Camera, does more than the normal camera.

What more does it offer?
The app gives you a higher quality of the photo which kinda sounds crazy because its the same camera hardware-wise right? Well once again apple somewhat restricts the camera from its true potential. It offers a clean interface of course same as the stock camera application.

User Interface:
The interface is nice and I like it. It has 3 little buttons or icons at the button for controlling the camera, the first is a settings that takes you to the settings page of the app, not too much to change there except for the self-timer setting, how sensitive it is to shaking, and whether or not you want it to save in the background [NO this does not mean you can close the app and it saves, it just allows you to take another picture while it's saving], and whether or not you want to preview the image before you save or if you just want it to auto-save. IT also tells you how much system memory you have, which is a little weird but I think it's to tell you to respring if you have a jailbroken iPhone or not, and to reboot if its not jailbroken. Then it tells you the current version and gives a Send Feedback button, pretty self explanatory.

The second icon is the "Steady Shot Mode" this uses the accelerometer to prevent blurry pictures, as soon as the accelerometer knows that it's still, it takes the picture automatically. Very nice, I get a lot of blurry pictures from using the stock camera at times

The third, is a self-timer option. Great for self-portraits or pictures of you and friends, or the boyfriend and girlfriend. You get to set how long before the shutter goes off in the settings pane of the app.

The application also has a Tilt Meter, which is shown in the screenshots. It's the white compass looking thing that tells you if your holding the phone straight or not. It's used to take the pictures to make them look better. You can also be creative by using this :)

My Conclusion:
I really really like this app, it gives a better high quality image than the stock camera does, and when I'm not looking for a quick shot I use this better to get a clearer picture. The only thing is I wish app allowed the apps to run in the background, with Cydia though there is an app called "backgrounder" which allows you to set apps to run in the background. The reason for me wanting this is the images take about a good 10 seconds or less to save, sometimes I even accidentally close the app not thinking, then I am forced to take it again. But if your a photographer and need a better camera than what the iPhone gives you I highly reccommend it, its simple, nice, and gets the job done. There's few apps in the App Store that take Pictures like Pro Camera :)

5th Generation iPod Nano to Have a Camera?

Now in my whole interest of electronics which hasnt been that long, I've never seen an Apple product leaked unlike a cell phone from HTC or another Cell Company. This next rumor comes from iLounge.com and its an artist's rendition of what seems to be the next gen iPod Nano. They say that it will be released same time as the iPod Touch, in July/September. Most likely I'll have to agree with them on the September drop because that's there whole music event they have at apple.

Now my thing who needs a camera on the iPod Nano? Put it on the iPod Touch first right? A Nano with a camera is awesome no doubt about that but I mean it seems pretty silly. And also everyone I pretty much know has the current line-up of the iPods, the new Nanos and the 2nd Gen iPod Touches. Why would only after about a year or so sell for just a camera when every phone has one right? I also thing that if the device pictured above is what Apple will come up with they need to add better specs to make a person sell their current iPod and purchase this one. How many of you would purchase one? Leave a comment or send a tweet, I'm really interested in seeing how many would delve into buying this device.

Now for the current "rumored" specs of the new nano:

Screen gets widened to a 1.5:1 aspect ratio, much better for movies
Same click-wheel
No Touchscreen (although I could see apple taking all the iPods to this technology after a couple of years or so)
Click-wheel moves down from current location and shrinks along with the button to click
Camera is oddly placed but most likely for landscape pictures

Terminator Salvation App Review

Who ever would’ve thought that the Terminator would be on your iPhone? Not me, I first saw that it was coming out and I was like wow, this is gonna be awesome! Well I got the app and played with it. Did I Like it? Let’s find out what I thought about it.

Look/Feel of the app:

From looks it’s really cool. I saw the trailer that was put out by gameloft and thought wow this is gonna be better then Hero of Sparta which I loved btw! So obviously it was much anticipated for me. I did like the graphics work that had been put into the app because it was a little bit better than hero of Sparta all of the T-“x” looked amazing and pretty real, I know its probably the best that the iPhone can get graphics-wise.

Storyline:

Whoever wrote the storyline for this, pretty much shouldn’t be working with games anymore. I love terminator but Holy Jesus was this game short! It seriously can be beaten within a day if the time is put in. It took me a total time of 60 hours or less last time I checked (this was on and off play every other day at like 30 min each session). I mean I can pretty much remember the whole storyline just thinking about it. It was decent and I guess makes sense being at the $6 price, because Hero of Sparta was longer and of course $10. Of course as the game goes on your get harder T’s and stuff.

What Do You Get To Do?

In the game you have a gun and a button to shoot it pretty much. If you’ve ever played H.O.S (Hero of Sparta) I’m sure you remember that you got all these cool weapons and got to do all these attacks where you’d weaken them, then you would have to hit a series of buttons to do a special combo attack. Not with Terminator, you just get a gun, sometimes 1 or 2 more special ones and kill the robots who really aren’t that hard when you just shoot their heads off (main point I know) but make it a little more challenging.

Another part of the game you get to use machine guns already built but it’s only like 5 or so times in the whole game. But it is only used to clear out certain parts and areas where there’s a lot of robots. In one part where you fight the Harvester you get to drive a car and shoot the machine gun as well. It was probably the most entertaining part of the game.

There’s also little parts where you get to do “hacking” YAY!.. not so much, its called hacking but all your doing is passing the ball over the green circuits and getting the ball in the hole. You pass over the red you start over, simple right?

Also, when you beat the first normal difficulty you get to play as The Terminator but more as a Arnold terminator where your still fighting with the Resistance (good side for you non-termies LOL). I also liked this, good one game loft

How does the game run?

HOLY SON OF A GUN is there lag in this thing! I swear every time I started a new level there was lag or slowness of it. Sometimes I died just because the screen didn’t register my taps! My god I hated that so much. If anyone has a difference experience please lemme know. I free’d memory up, rebooted my phone nothing helped. I hope there’s an update to fix it cause I was pretty mad about the game all in all. There was one part where it totally messed me up, ill post a screenshot along with the others but it’s not gonna make much of a difference because I could just have done it but I didn’t. I was walking around and it froze for a little then started back up again but as if I was still moving in a certain direction. Talk about wanting to pull your hair out lol. It should’ve been a 3 dollar app.

My conclusion?

Well I loved the graphics, probably the best next to need for speed underground, but Idk if it needs to be played on a iPod touch 2^nd gen (it has a higher processor than the iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G) or what but im not joking when I say it did lag a lot. With a update with a fix yes worth it, especially for the crippled storyline, but that and the slowness was the only problems. I did love the extra difficulty to play as the Terminator as well =D

Anyone anxious for WWDC as much as I am? I’m desperately waiting for it lol. Well this screenshot has been going around the internet. It’s a screenshot of a 32 GB iPhone on a T-Mobile Site, I believe its T-Mobile Austria. What do you think? I couldn’t believe that T-Mobile in a different country getting the iPhone, but I do believe that the next iPhone is going to have 32 GB to replace the current 8 and 16 line-up. New iPhone Specs?

So there are many posts on every tech site about the New iPhone thats like 100% surely going to come out now! I just bought a 3g back in March, but hopefully the Dev-Team can unlock this one faster than it took for the 3g one.

A lot of sites have their own specs listed but the top ones that people know are coming and the others ones that they HOPE are going to be included are as follows:

16 GB and 32Gb to replace the current 8 and 16
3.2 autofocus camera (I honestly think this is the one of the things that is lacking hardware-wise)
Same $199 and $299 prices (32 gb for 300? not bad)
Video recording with new 3.0 firmware
The metal band is to be discontinued with this new model
1.5 times better battery life (SWEET!)
OLED Screen
Double the RAM and processing power
Bult in FM radio (idk why? i barely listen to the radio plus there's apps that work over EDGE and 3G perfectly)
Apple logo on back to glow (why?)
Rubber backing
Built in Compass (I think this is a 99% percent Yes)
Sleeker Design
and last but not least Turn by turn directions (WOOO)

I hope most of these are true cause then there would be reason to update to the new iPhone instead of last year, when all the reason to change was GPS, 3G especially, and color?

I hope Apple worked harder on this iPhone but all we can do is pray and watch WWDC and wait for that all-knowing "one more thing" type of intro we always get.

Ever Gotten a Small Shock from your iPhone/iPod Touch Headphones?

If you've ever experienced a small shock in your ear or something like that, it could be your iPod heasphones. Apparently a lot of people have experienced this as well but Apple Made a statement basically saying not to worry, because this could happen with any time of hardware/headphones

People listening to one of the devices in extremely dry air are most at risk of receiving a static electricity shock through the ear buds, according to a warning posted on Apple's Web site. The post likened the condition to the discharge that occurs when a person drags his or her feet across a carpet then gets a shock by touching a door knob.

"This condition is not limited to Apple hardware and static can potentially build up on almost any hardware and could be discharged using any brand of earbuds," Apple said.

Apple also helped with remedies by saying:
the use of a humidifier to raise the moisture level of the air, hand lotions to moisturize dry skin, or an anti-static spray. The site also recommends users wear clothes made of natural fibers instead of synthetic fibers. When users are outdoors, Apple suggests users keep their device in a bag or a case to keep it out of the wind and refrain from frequently removing it from pockets as the rubbing may cause static buildup.

App Review: ":Shift:"

I have another app review today! The app is called shift. If you’ve ever been to vivalagames.com or miniclip.com I’m sure you’ve played it before. And it’s really no different from the PC game. The developer of the game is the same one who made the flash game, Armor Games. The game is only $0.99 in the app store, long story short: worth it!

On the main menu, you got the Nice shift logo with some background mystery-pink-panther sounding music…classic! You then get “Start/.Resume” and then at the bottom comes scores, credits, and options. Options doesn’t do much as it only lets you choose how you want to Shift, whether tilting left or right, tilting forward or backward, or using the shift logo button in the corners of the game.

As im sure 99% of you have played it and know what it is, and what to do. You have to get the guy to the door, and you have to “shift” sometimes through most of the game to get the keys and unlock trap floors and stuff. On the PC game the gameplay is pretty simple and not much different for your iPhone/iPod Touch

The game is not in widescreen mode which is kinda eh but its ok, because how else r you gonna control it? Plus it keeps the ratio of the game you play on the computer. To move left or right, you hit the arrows, and then to jump you hit the center button or while hitting the key to go the left the right becomes a UP button to jump and vice-versa.

The game is a little small, but it’s brings the same exact storyline from the regular game. I would’ve kinda liked to have some new levels? I think that would make it even more reason to purchase. Hopefully when the 3.0 firmware comes out and with the new Game API’s to allow customers to buy more levels from the game, I hope that Armor Games takes some advantage to doing this.

My Verdict on the game? This game has always been fun to play because it really is like a new game to play; it’s a lot different then your typical get to the door game. I had to purchase it because I loved the concept of it, plus when your on the long trips or something, it’s something nice to whip out and play again and again! If armor games does decide to add the more levels I’ll be willing to lay down a couple more bucks for about 10 or so more challenging levels ;]

Full Review - Cydia App: Supreme Preferences

This application review is on a Cydia App called Supreme Preferences. If you just read the first sentence and have no clue what cydia is, you my friend are missing out. You need to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch. Now instead of making the 234,453,455,534 post on how to jailbreak I’ll just put a link on the video how-to, its simple don’t be scared.

Supreme Preferences gives you about twice the power of settings on your device, from your phone to your calculator application. It gives more options to change the stock applications as well as some cydia ones. You can change your safari settings, mail, iPod, everything.

Let’s start off by saying the app and the changes your allowed to make to them.

Well Supreme Preferences, when installed, gives you your own section in the stock settings applications. It also changes the icon to a more noticeable settings icon. Supreme preferences allows the Push option to give you anywhere from 1 minutes to 30 minutes, then hourly, 3 hours, 6 hours, every 12, daily, and the stock manually one. From there, there are no changes in anything else. The rest of the settings are in supreme preferences.

When you click on supreme preferences, you are giving the following options to change:

Applications

Home

iPod

Mobile Substrate

Status Bar

System

And About

When you click on applications, you are given options for

Mail, Calendars

Phone + SMS

Photos

Safari

App Store

+ More

In the mail setting, not much is added but disabling the background mail process that is automatically set, Phone and Mail are the only ones that are constantly running on the iPhone. Signature is there as well as allowing customization of how many messages you want, you click and the keyboard comes up to allow the user to enter in whatever number he/she pleases. And Calendars are just there for options for when the user’s day is to begin and end.

Phone + SMS pane allows EDGE editing and international assist. International assist automatically adds the correct prefix to the US numbers when dialing from abroad. Dim in call, which should be set, and Lock after call which is pretty nice. For SMS, options for compose new Message, Show the SMS preview, and a SMS alert, not too much here. Photos is the same as the stock settings that are given because not much can be changed. In Safari “Find in Page” is an option that adds a bookmark to work as the “find” you would on your mac or PC. Animated Images are also a switch as well as shrink images to fit, and display images. For the App Store settings all that’s there is to save the password for either App Store or the iTunes store so you don’t have to enter it everytime. This is great, but also bad if you have the friends that don’t know what they’re doing and while you were playing rockband they charge up to 30 bucks in apps installing and buying. So think about it before you hit that “On” switch.

In More you are allowed to switch Calculator settings, restore, and for Maps you can have Live Search and Show Traffic On/Off. In stocks you can show percentages and YouTube just shows what you last searched for.

In Home settings you are allowed to change the Home Button to any application you choose, maybe you text a lot so have the Home Button set to texts, Maybe you take pictures a lot so set it to Camera, have Cydia? Any Cydia apps and app store apps are available as well as your own custom ones. You can also disable the Apple Boot Logo. I’ll have a tutorial on how to change your boot logo coming up soon. You can also hide the battery on charge and choose to reflect the dock icons.

iPod is basic, it’s most of the same settings that you get in the stock settings.

In Mobile Substrate you get Hide Icon Labels and Prevent App Deletion which is great if you sometimes have lag on the home screen and you start tapping every and you hit the X button.

In Status Bar you get to change your carrier name, change the color wheel (loading) have fake time shortcuts, change the time to say something else and also a big thing is to have you Wi-Fi, Signal, and battery percentage in NUMBER format instead of pictures.

System, our last and final pane comes with options to control brightness which was just updated, auto dim, auto lock, custom dim and lock, and whether to disable it or not. You can also have it disable respring so that no apps such as winterboard resprings and so the user manually does it. It then gives you options for keyboard which is stock as well. And then gives you Logs for power, disk space and cannot open apps.

There’s also a touch pane but I refuse to test, as it says messing with it could result in restoring your device, and I don’t have time for the risk, the about tab just gives info on the Application

Terminator Salvation is a game by gameloft, look at my two previous posts about it you can find information there. The main idea about this post is to tell you guys that the price dropped from 10 bucks to 6, save about half right now, and buy it.

A review on my part is coming up, I have not fully played the game to tell you but it is worth 6 dollars in my opinion

App Review - Twitterboost

This app review on a twitter application called “Twitterboost”. The application for your iPhone/iPod Touch is $1.99 in the App Store. It’s a nice little application for all the twitter freaks out there!!! Lol like me.

Twitterboost has a nice-a** logo in my opinion lol. Looks like an eagle or big a** bird, but still has a nice clean look, the application has that same nice look too. When you first open it up you have to put it your twitter user info. Then what it does is takes your info and finds other people that have the same information or interests as you. So for me, it found a lot of tech related people, and some other ones that didn’t really “fit me” but hey! Every automated search thing has little mistakes right?

There is no lag with it, it gives you the username and picture of the person and at the bottom it gives you an option to either follow that person or hit next to go onto the next person if you don’t like them (meanie!). Now there is one thing, it only lets you choose from the people who are using twitterboost or at least that’s what I’m getting. Cause I only have about 30 people to choose from and every time I go in there I get the same people so I go in there every 2 weeks or so. When you hit follow you are automatically taken to the next person.

The app inside is blue, take a look at the screenshots. It’s a nice sleek interface just like that icon. I got the application because I was new to twitter and needed to try and get some followers and try and find other people that are like me. I got about a good 15-20 people from this application

My verdict? If you are new to twitter or need some new people to follow, I say purchase but if you have time on your hands I say just use the search engine on twitter.com and go from there. I think this app would sell more at just $0.99. But oh well, if the app goes on sale I’ll report it here, or follow me on twitter to see!

App - Brainteaser

This app review was on a game I downloaded a couple days ago. It’s called Brainteaser, it’s free, pretty much the best part of it LOL

This app is going to be only like a paragraph cause it’s pretty much one of those open-close apps. You know you click on it and it lets you do its purpose then from there, there isn’t much to do after that.

The purpose of the game is basically monkey see monkey do. They give you an image and you got to recreate with the bigger blocks they give you. You touch one block and it changes the ones around it, so it can get a little tricky. The first few levels are pretty easy. If you’re a smarty you should be at level 5 within less than a minute. They give you points depending on how fast you were and on the level you were playing.

For me this was a purchase-delete app. It’s one of those ones for me that just can’t hold my interest for long. I liked the idea but I’ve played it with a better interface on a different game. I think you should give it a try see if you like it. It did make it on the top ten free apps so it must be pretty good

Slingbox Mobile in The App Store

Slingbox allows you to basically watch tv, set recordings, etc... on the iPhone. Yup now you can enjoy it on your phone. Take that PALM! It's pretty pricey at $30 bucks, so I have not gotten it. I'd say for about $20 it would be a deal but $30? its ehh. According to the comments apparently about 300 people have decided to take the dive and buy it and so far its at about a 3 1/2 star rating, which really isn't bad in the app store.

The app itself ONLY works on Wi-Fi, but luckily if you've jalbroken your iPhone or iPod Touch there's a tweak called "Tricker ThreeG" that makes slingbox think its on Wi-Fi, when it's really on 3G network. I wouldn't really recommend trying on Edge as you'll probably be home by the time it loads lol. This is available through via Cydia right now.

App Review: Need For Speed:Underground

This app review is on the New Game by Electronic Arts, Called Need For Speed. If your a video game player, you've heard of it. It's only like one of the greatest car games ever. Well now its available for the iPhone and iPod touch. Its $9.99 in the App Store. So let’s get on with it.

Graphics

Graphics in this game are the highest I think is available for the iPhone OS. They’re really clear and great. It’s almost up there with the PSP, can’t compare with DS as I’ve never owned one or really messed with one but I’m sure it’s there too :). All the cars look pretty crisp, and so do all 3 locations in the game (LOL) I’m sure your like 3 locations?!

Layout

When you begin the game you get to choose the car you want and then you get on with starting your career and it’s a Tri-City area. That’s why I had said 3 locations before. There’s 3 locations but there all tweaked a little bit for every different event and stuff. The icons got me a little confused at first in the menu because I wasn’t to sure on what each one stood for (look at the screen shots) I think that was my only complaint.

Any Lag with Game?

There’s no waiting time for this game really it runs really fast. Take about maybe a minute total just to start up and have you racing! I was surprised cause normally big games like this take a while to start up, for example “Hero of Sparta” that app took some time. In races it responds really well with the accelerometer its really just on track with it (no pun intended). Especially once you get a hang of it, you’ll be drifting, nudging cars, and swerving on the roads through cars!

Modes

There’s 8 total high-impact racing modes such as highway battle, sprint, and my favorite Cop Takeout (evil laugh...jk). They all seem easy but just as any game as you progress they get much harder. I think on my final “takeout” it took about 15 times to retry and Jesus did I scream when I finally beat it! Haha. There all really fun, and like I said the swerving to get rid of the cops, or the hitting the other cars to take em’ off the road is really fun. The iPhone becomes your safe steering wheel so to speak.

Cars

The cars start off from simple cars you see everyday like Nissans, mustangs, then as you get more money and style points you get to have the option to purchase the more luxurious cars, such as the Lamborghini, or the Mercedes Benz, or the Chrysler 300c. Such beautiful cars LOL. My Final one that I purchased is in the Screenshot(s) below, it’s so fast, it got up to about 230 MPH and totally kicked everyone’s a** in the races, I was like a lap ahead it was awesome.

Also as you buy cars you get to upgrade them, Performance-wise and Looks, Performance involving top speed, accelerating, nitro, and handling. They all start off at about $2,000 and double each time I believe, the most I paid was about $26,000.

Conclusion

So in conclusion Need for Speed is a really awesome game. I’ve been anticipating it for a while; it was introduced a while back. I think the wait was worth it, the graphics, no lag, everything is perfect. Even the Story/Career Mode of it is really entertaining. They have one hot Asian chick and Christina Milian in it, need I say more?! I wish the game was like 6 or 7 bucks though because I kind of beat the game pretty quick, but it was a lot of stages there was probably like 30 more or less. But I think its worth, if you got 10 bucks lying around and need a new game to play, invest in it LOL.

Terminator Salvation App Out Now!

The Terminator App I posted about 3 days ago is now out!(click here) Click on the link to view the trailer, other than that the game is $10.00 like I had guessed im downloading it right now and it's 124 MB so I suggest downloading either on Wi-Fi or straight through iTunes like I am.

With the game you get 11 different types of enemies, 6 weapons, 360 degree view of the 3D environments. The Graphics looks really good and with a unlockable level you get to play as a T-600.

If you liked Hero of Sparta, or Assassin's Creed I highly recommend investing the 10 bucks :)

Can't Wait For Star Trek?

If you can't wait until this Friday for Star Trek like me! There's a cool app in the app store, It's free don't worry LOL.

It's a "Phaser", with not the best graphics but never the less works as a gun, you can either set it to stun or kill your choice, and the accelerometer works with this to to either make the gun turn in directions which ever way you have it and you tap on the gun to make the noises

It also comes with a menu to see all 4 trailers and two exclusive clips from the movie, they play right in the app. So no youtube opening and such. And they have options for the music and your basic options.

Its free, if you a trekkie you probably already have it, if not download it, mess with it for a little, it caught my attention

BTW: I saw the movie already last week (special screening passes FTW!) it was really good seemed like a short movie but it was good, the special effects kick ass and everything. I'll definetly be going again to see it

iPhone aint to big on Voice Commands but I think that will be coming in the 3.0 software update. Windows Mobile (AH!) 6.5 will be coming with a application called TellMe, from the site I really like what it has to offer. You open it up and basically can tell it to get weather in Phoenix, or check up on your flight, or call a certain contact or text somone

App Review: Flight Control

App name pretty much explains what the main idea is in this app LOL makes it easy on me!

Flight control is $0.99 in the App Store, and to me Definitely worth it. The app's main goal is to touch and hold on a aircraft and make the aircraft go into its correct location by drawing the line in order to get them there. It involves 4 aircraft including helicopter's and such. The ironic thing is the game is so simple and easy yet it give you, or at least me, a few hours of fun LOL.

Once you open the app, it give you options such as Play, Stats (in there you can be promoted to certain crews, explain a little more later), and such. The main one is obviously play, and you already got the main point of the game, and it does involve strategy LOL, By this I mean like trying to figure out which plane is going where, where you can draw the line to make them go. It also involves you trying to figure out if the aircraft is gonna crash or so, the game does get harder obviously cause as soon as you've leanded about 20 aircraft or so, you get the really bigger, faster airplanes that move faster than the little ones. As you can imagine as soon as you've landed 50 or 70 of these things, and as you have about 5 of the big ones but also 4 helicopters, and 6 of the yellow aircrafts, and 3 other airplanes, it does get hard trying to control them, trying to land them as fast as you can so you have less to deal with. It does get hard i'll admit I've had this game for about 2 weeks or approaching it and I only have a score of 76 aircraft landed I'll update this post if I get to 100 :D.

But in conclusion for only a buck, you can't beat it. It'll keep you entertained, and happy with your purchase. I've bought games and deleted them after a week or so of beating it or getting bored with it, but I'll admit I just cannot do that with this one. Its on my homescreen I play it everytime I'm bored or just have a minute to spare, I just simply love it. It's a great concept and the developer made it happen in a very fun way. I even love the music that plays as you start it haha. So if you havent picked up yet once again its in the App Store for $0.99 and you can't beat it, its really fun. Take my word, I gurantee you'll love it as much as I do! :)
